Thijs Peeters obtained a Ph.D. degree in Business at Tilburg University in 2013. He also holds a M.Sc. (Strategic Management) and a M.Phil. (Business) degree from the same institution. He completed part of his studies at the Norwegian School of Management BI in Oslo, Norway (currently called Norwegian Business School). He joined the ITEM group in September 2012.
Thijs' research is targeted at the intersection of innovation strategy and firm performance. Specifically, his recent work focuses on the search process for knowledge, the adaptation of knowledge, the capabilities of product development teams and the effect that these phenomena have on performance. Most of his research is conducted in the global video game industry: a highly dynamic, creative, and innovative multi-billion industry.
