Since September 2017, Elisa Maira is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her PhD in Marketing Management is from Rotterdam School of Management (Rotterdam, The Netherlands). Prior to starting her PhD, she worked for two years in the FMCG industry. Elisa holds an MSc in Marketing Management (cum laude) and a BSc in Economics and Management for Arts, Culture and Communications (with a major in marketing) from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy).
Elisa’s research lies at the cross of marketing strategy and consumer behavior. She is mainly interested in how technological change affects the relationship between producers and consumers in the marketplace. Part of her research investigates how the increasing availability and transparency of information about company strategy affects consumer behavior. Elisa’s research also focuses on understanding the new boundaries of production and consumption. In particular, she studies consumer as producers and sellers of their own goods. She looks at the motivating effect of providing the consumer-producer with sales feedback and of disclosing information about the buyer.
At Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Elisa teaches Management of Product Development (MSc), Methodology for Industrial Engineering Research (BSc), and Product Innovation Processes (BSc). For more information on Elisa Maira, please visit the TU/e website.
